Xcaret At Night

This is a continuation of the previous entry. I started loading so much information into the last post, that the HTML translator began to balk, resulting in an abrupt ending.

Here's a few more day pics, then we'll look at it at night scenes.

We see iguanas everywhere. They seem to especially like the ruins areas because of the hiding areas.

Below are some of the ruins on the hotel grounds. They are relatively well documented. But getting more information from staff at the hotel was frustrating.

Let's look at Xcaret at night. Whoever designed this place certainly knew what they were doing.

As night falls, warriors in full battle gear silently float into the hotel area from the river and ignite some torches.

They actually look pretty intimidating, and appear serious - no smiling here.

Here are some of the lighting effects:

Those pesky warriors are back for some photo opportunities.

And we kick back with Margaritas and Bloody Mary's in their Mexican restaurant.

Speaking of food - it was excellent. They have several areas on the hotel grounds where meals are served smorgasbord-style. All high quality and tasty.

The deserts are Mexican and French pastries.

There are also speciality restaurants, which you need to make reservations for, but there is no extra charge. These are Mexican, Steakhouse, Oriental, and Seafood.

After dinner you can check-out the plaza where they have artists...

Or sell souvenirs.

Maybe take in a show at the theater.

Then it's off to bed for a day of touring tomorrow...
