The last few days have been interesting. Monday afternoon I was sitting in the clubhouse library reading a magazine, when this old guy comes in and starts talking about his windshield. Being slow on the uptake, I thought to myself, "What do I care about his windshield?". Then I remembered my little sign on the CRV [Mobile Windshield Repair]. Guess he saw the sign on the car outside and looked me up. My first repair Job!!!
Mixing vacationing and work is interesting. One minute I'm kicking back, reading or dozing off, and the next minute I'm being the "professional". Funny thing was, I also had some testing to do at Job Corps in Tucson on Tuesday (might as well make some money while going by there). So I don my work apparel and ready my testing kit. Tuesday afternoon, I was tired after arriving back from doing the students in Tucson. Suddenly, another neighbor pulls up to the campsite and needs his windshield repaired! I scheduled him for this morning. We are supposed to leave today, so I'll have to get out there early and work on his car.
What happened to the vacation??
When it rains, it pours! This windshield repair gig, which started as a nice way to let Uncle Sam help me travel, is actually making money. Humm.
