Primo Spot

We arrived in Benson before noon. Benson is located about 50 miles southeast of Tucson. Going through Tucson is the usual mess. It has been since time immemorial - chronic rebuilding of the expressway system. The brilliant engineers have closed most entrances and exits into the city during construction, causing horrendous traffic problems for the taxpayers. As V.P. Cheny would say, "So?".

We are staying at the Escapees Park in Benson. It's one of our favorites, and has been about five years since last visiting it. One of the best things about the park is the allowance of building "casitas" on each lot. A casita is a tiny house. In this case, it's usually one or two rooms with a large covered patio viewing the desert. We got a very nice lot with a casita and a great view.
It's so quiet around here. Just the sound of the desert wind and hundreds of birds singing.

We will be staying about a week, visiting the sights like Kartchner Caverns tomorrow. I have an appointment next Tuesday to do some testing at the Tucson Job Corps site. Should provide enough gas money for the rest of the year. I just filled-up in Benson - about $3.50 a gallon. Not bad in comparison to San Diego.

Mimi is quickly adjusting to this new environment, working on her Suduko puzzles.
